TapBooks helps small business owners organize receipts, expenses, and month-end records, and prepare materials for their accountants. The Service is designed for operational organization — it does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.

The Service may be offered free or at reduced cost during beta. Features may change, and availability is not guaranteed. We appreciate feedback as we improve the product.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us of unauthorized use.

Your content

You retain ownership of data you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service (including AI-assisted receipt processing). You represent that you have the right to upload the content you provide.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:

Violating applicable laws
Attempting unauthorized access to systems or data
Uploading malware or infringing content
Interfering with other users' use of the Service

Third parties

The Service may integrate with third-party providers (hosting, email, payments, AI). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPBOOKS AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for operational reasons, with notice where reasonable.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
